Burg Castle is close to Cologne, Düsseldorf, and the Ruhrgebiet in the heart of the Bergish Land – ideal for day trips. There is a direct connection to the A1 exit Wermelskirchen. Please keep in mind not to put the mailing address of the castle into you navigational device but use the following address that leads directly to the parking lot next to Burg Castle.

There is a large parking lot adjacent to the castle in Solingen Oberburg. Alternative parking can also be found in Solingen Unterburg where a chair lift awaits to top off your trip.

With the Chair Lift
The most exciting and comfortable way to reach Burg Castle is with the chair lift. The chair lift was built in 1952 to connect Unterburg and Oberburg.

Begin down in the valley below the castle and enjoy the 20 minute walk up the steep winding path through the beautiful wooded cliffs.

Direct to the castle
You can take a bus direct to the door step of Burg Castle. The Line 687 pendels back an forth on the weekends every hour between 12pm and 19pm from the Müngstener Bridge Park (Müngstener Brückenpark) to Burg Castle. During the week Line 622 leaves every 30 minutes from the bus stop Burger Bahnhof.
